• Medical facilities in Yemen are poor, especially away from the main towns.
• Polio and malaria are common to Yemen. Dengue fever outbreak has been reported. Therefore routine vaccination are recommended for all travellers planning on visiting this country.
• Travellers should remember to exercise great caution when dealing with bloody or infected needles or when engaging in sexual activity during their visit to against HIV/AIDS.
• All travellers should seek medical advice before travelling to the country and ensure that all appropriate vaccinations are up to date.
